It took me a while to realize that &quot;les orties&quot; are nettles, and indeed they are delicious used as you would spinach or cress(?) in tarts and soups. (I did not know you are supposed to pinch them back to make them more vigorous, but it makes sense.)

What a wonderful service you provide here. I will thoroughly enjoy poring over your entries and improving my reading of French. Alas, I don&#039;t dare try to comment thus.
